“Organized evidence can be the difference between a legal team digging through piles of evidence or focusing their efforts on the case itself.”

Jenny Lohner, EdD

We recognize that domestic abuse cases are some of the hardest to win. Oftentimes, survivors have extensive but disorganized evidence that may be difficult to analyze, organize, or make sense of. Survivor Resource Group is skilled in making sense of evidence, condensing the volume of materials a survivor may have, and acting as the intermediary between the attorney and the client or other outside expert.

We start by gathering survivor evidence. We then classify the evidence into categories of coercive control (or any other categories determined suitable by the attorney or expert), re-label and upload the evidence into a secure repository which the attorney or outside experts can access. We “declutter” the evidence and organize into primary (“most important”) and secondary (“less important”) folders and re-label for ease of use. As survivors accumulate additional evidence during the case (e.g. Talking Parents logs, communications, police reports, etc), we add to the repository. We alleviate the revolving door of emails by acting as the point of contact for the survivor, continuously uploading and indexing the evidence into the shared repository. The attorney may access these documents at any time. When a hearing or trial approaches, the attorney can find what is needed and focus his or her efforts on the matter at hand.
